I watched the first 3 and a half episodes of this series and it's really interesting! 3,5 bc the eng sub just ended halfway lol I'm glad that Viki features this series soon, so the waiting will finally come to an end yayy Don't mind me fangirling but I just love the 2 MCs' chemistry X3 If you also ship the 2 of them, I strongly recommend you to also watch the historical drama 'Love Better Than Immortality' (2019) which is still on air now ;) Zhao Lu Si and Li Hong Yi have their reunion in that series and it's so amaaazing! 💕 Update: 'LBTI' ended but only now were the eng subs for the last ep uploaded so I binge-watched the 3 last eps of the series. The ending isn't what I expected at the beginning but still it's somehow satisfying. I also cried a little bit while watching the last eps Now I'm especially excited to see how different the characters and interaction of the 2 MCs in 'Prodigy Healer' are :) Update 2: now, I'm halfway through the series and all that I can say is that Tianyao is annoying af omg I'm getting furious about that girl. How can she be so unreasonable and act b*tchy as hell?! Really disgusts me. All she does is bc of jealousy and always blabbing about that she grew up without parents and all men only like Yunchang. Open your eyes, girl! What about Yunchang's mum? She died when Yunchang was 5! And what about Yunchang's younger brother and her half-brother? They both like Tianyao but she's too arrogant and jealous to use her brain and eyes properly to cherish these people. Clinging onto Xingchen and him doing nothing about it also annoys me. Just bc she 'saved' him. Acting all pitiful and innocent. What a disappointment of a bff and as a woman as well. Find yourself someone who loves you back instead of being so obsessed! Moreover, Yunchang is way too generous and forgiving towards her friend or does she not care at all about her relationship with Xingchen? If she does, then why is Yunchang so passive? So what if Tianyao is her bff? Do something, girl! Kick that b*tch out of your clinic and clear out all the misunderstandings with your man! Fortunately, she's a smart girl and knows what to do. Yunchang fighting! Update 3: finally, I'm through this series 🎉 The ending wasn't completely what I expected but it was still satisfying. Look forward to the real MVP in the end! Tianyao didn't get what she really deserved but maybe the screenwriters thought that she could change herself through what happened idk and idc. She's just a side character but am I the only one who gets the feeling that she's the 3rd MC or something? Too much screen time tbh. Maybe it's bc of her being the love rival of Yunchang. Anyway, back to the MC couple. What obstacles they had to overcome to reunite. It was so dramatic I almost thought they were star-crossed lovers lmao. The ending was quite something different. There weren't words exchanged. There was only bgm. Words aren't needed, you can know what the other person wants to say through their gaze, their personality and in general if you know that person well, especially your lover. It was a happy ending in some way but you know that c-dramas always have some melancholic feelings lingering when you're done with the series. All in all, the plot was okay. I wished the relationship problems were solved earlier bc I felt tortured and annoyed watching the series with a love rival who sucks like a leech till the end. It was a lil bit too chaotic to understand during the battle but that's how it actually is irl. It's chaotic. So that makes it realistic. Plus point for that. But btw, what they definitely can improve are their special effects though lol The acting is excellent, as expected from the MCs and the rest as well. I'm impressed how many emotions the actors had to express in the last episodes, it was really well performed
